This conference aims to explore the subject of specialized critique on shows for children and young audiences, understanding it as a form of critical exercise and citizenship.

PERPHOTO LAB: Open call | Acompanhamento de criação

No âmbito da sua linha de acção destinada a estimular um diálogo entre investigação e criação no cruzamento das artes performativas e visuais, o projeto PERPHOTO (FCT PTDC/ART-PER/31693/2017), promove um laboratório de acompanhamento de projectos performativos de novos criadores, com o objectivo de explorar as múltiplas possibilidades de discursos produzidos através da presença de fotografia ou do dispositivo fotográfico nos processos de criação performativa.

Internacional Conference Eroticism and Sexuality(ies) in the Arts

The study of sexuality(ies) has gained ground in history, psychology, psychoanalysis, literature, sociology, that is, in the sciences that seek to understand how we process our experience in the world. Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, Pierre Philippe-Meden, George Bataille, David Le Breton, among others, addressed these issues, bringing new perspectives and knowledge to light. Today, it is essential to recognize more (and a greater number of) sexualities that, through the arts, manifest and break taboos that fettered them. The human being is diverse and so is his dimension of desire.

Drawing and Performance: Creating Scenography

Cosimo Chiarelli and Filipe Figueiredo will represent the Centre for Theatre Studies presenting the communication  “José Capela: Imagem, Espaço e Ilusão” in the  Internacional Conference Drawing and Performance: Creating Scenography. The Conference is organized by INET-md and will take place online, between 24th and 26th of November.

Encontros PERPHOTO 2020/21 - 2nd Session

O arquivo está presente? / Is the archive present? The Archive is Present was the work that Ana Janeiro developed in her doctoral thesis. In it she investigated the family photographic archives that she interpreted critically, using performance photography for this. This presentation addresses some questions such as: how can family albums be analyzed as archives? What kind of historical information can be contained in these images? How can performance as a photographed practice be a method used in the critical interpretation of archives?
